We recently completed a residential 4.5 kilowatt grid-tie solar array for a home in the Comox Valley. These customers chose to have a battery back-up for their solar PV (electric) system, which means if the power ever goes out in their neighbourhood they'll be able to continue on as usual with the stored electricity in their batteries. Another option with solar PV is selling the excess electricity back to BC Hydro using net-metering.

The following pictures show the work our crew did on the outside and the inside of the home. People are sometimes surprised by the clean electronics we install on the inside. The fact is PV has come a long way and while the cost continues to drop (from $12 a watt to $5, in the last five years!) the technology also continues to become more sleek and compact.
