When we tell people what we do for a living, we often hear a common response:

“‘Solar? I’ve always been interested in that – how does it work”

Lumby home with solar panelsWe love this comment because there couldn’t be a better time to explore solar.

Solar power is not only an innovative, clean technology that decreases the need for large-scale generation projects but it’s also moving closer to the mainstream as panel prices fall and electricity prices continue to increase.

Yet, with all new technologies there is a need for education around the products, pros and cons of each, and the opportunity for people to ask questions.

It’s for this reason we’re excited to host several HomSolar panel being lifted onto Kelowna roof.e Solar Education events in the Okanagan in September.

In these events will discuss how net metering works, debunk common solar myths and outline product and inverter options. You can also see photos from some of our recent projects, and of course ask lots of questions.

We started Terratek Energy twelve years ago with a passion for solar and the adoption of renewable technologies. It gives us great pleasure to watch the sector evolve and introduce new people to this simple and smart technology.
