Taking his own steps towards saving the planet, local bed and breakfast owner David Kidd has had a solar-powered hot water heater installed in his home/bed and breakfast. “I’ve been into energy conservation for a long time,” Kidd said, adding that when he lived in Winnipeg he had his home super-insulated. “It’s a really old and simple technology,” solar water heater installer Colin Bernard said as he made adjustments to a water heater.
