EV Charging Stations:

Livesmart BC provides a rebate of $500 towards the cost of installing a Level 2 (240 V) electric vehicle charging infrastructure at their homes. Residents will be required to complete and send in an application form, along with an itemised receipt for the EV charging station and a copy of the electric vehicle registration sheet and/or lease agreement. The program runs until March 31st, 2013 or until available funding is depleted (whichever comes first).

For more information and to access the application form click here.

PV:

LiveSmart BC also provides grants for net-metered PV for the home, if the homeowner has a pre- post-retrofit assessment with a Certified Energy Advisor, installs a qualifying PV system and has a post-retrofit assessment – all before March 31, 2013.

A net metering agreement is required between the homeowner and the utility provider. Advisors are required to document the system capacity and will be requested to provide photos and invoices when the record is audited. The net metering agreement indirectly ensures the system has been installed properly and meets code. The net metering agreement is absolutely required.
