Solar Hot Water: Solar hot water systems are currently being supported by incentives from all levels of government. Currently SolarBC offers a $2000 discount per system on any new home. Terratek will extend an additional savings by offering builder/developer pricing on all residential solar hot water to systems sold as part of their new construction project.
For builders looking to achieve Built Green1 points, a fully commissioned solar water heating system will provide:
4 points (when sized for 30% of DHW load)
6 points (when sized for 50% of DHW load)
8 points (when sized for 80% of DHW load).
